The Ihamba Residence is a Guest House in Bwindi, western Uganda on top of a hill with a stunning view over the Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park, home of some of last remaining mountain Gorillas.
The residence is run by Change a Life Bwindi, a Community Based Organization that links the importance of preserving Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park to the communities through creating enterprises, employment opportunities as well as engaging direct conservation projects.
As conservationist, we use solar power in the whole residence. We harvest and conserve rainwater for the residence, garden and farming. We have planted flowers and plants that attract different species of birds. This makes our residence a haven for bird lovers.
Guests who stay with us enjoy beautiful views of the forest as well as the rift valley.
